thank you, but doesn't help. I send a message. I get a
message from 'system administrator' saying error 550 send
prohibited by administrator. on following your
instructions there is no header on this and anyway it does
not include my message. but there is an attachment
symbolically noted with message, but there is no place to
click to see it (is it even there?) therefore I can not
send it to anyone and the administrator support says that
they cannot do anything without the thing that they failed
to send to me.

How about turning on diagnostic logging or trying the same send in Outlook
Express?

ps - turning on diagnostic logging varies depending on what version of
Microsoft Outlook you are using. Need version info in order to supply steps
on how to turn on.

pss - a 550 could be a relaying problem (e.g. ISPs will not let you send a
message thru them unless a criteria is meet. For example, you might have to
pop mail before sending, authenticate to the smtp server, or the from/reply
to e-mail address has to be an e-mail address that is part of their domain.
