find feature

The find feature works sometimes and it misses a lot of files.

Example: I did a search on customers.dbf to see if I had more than one copy
of that file in the hard disk. I knew it had at least one copy. The find
feature could not find any copies.

I am running Windows XP. I remember this feature used to work fine a few
months ago.

First check the things like you've got

Search System Folders
Search Hidden Files and Folders
Search Subfolders

checked under 'Advanced Properties'

If still no joy then you could consider a replacement search tool. Agent
Ransack has often been recommended, though I've never used it.

"fgomez" <[email protected]> gave expression to certain
thoughts in message ,saying...

Make sure you don't have 'case sensitive' checked in the same set of
options.

You could also try wild card searches to see if they work eg

*.dbf
