Filter checklist does not show all possible options

I have a table that when I try to select specific cell contents in the
filtering checklist, some of the cells are not listed. All rows show up when
I say to show all, it's just that I cannot "check" some of them when trying
to employ the filter. This is NOT a case of blank rows interrupting the
table. No other filtering is on. All cells in the column start with text,
formatted as "general" so it does not seem to be the previously discussed
text vs numbers issue either.

I sorted alphabetically while trying to figure this out, and there are some
cells that are not shown in the checklist, but others AFTER those that are.
I can see nothing at all odd about the cells that are not listed in the
checklist. [Odd thing just happened: I reformatted cells as text, and the
offending cells now display "########..." in the cell, but still shows the
text in the formula bar, and also in the cell when editing directly in the
cell. I'm sure this is the problem, but what's causing THAT?]

Hi,
There is a limit on how many rows can be shown, I believe the limit is
depend on your computer' s memory.
Therefore, one needs to be careful when working with a table (list)
with large number of rows.
