Fille Association Properties

How can you change a file association's properties so that each time
the associated program is started in a maximized window?
I have short cuts set this way but cannot get find where to change this
with the file association.

Assuming that when you double-click a particular file type, the associated
program shall start maximized: There is no such setting.

Thanks. I was coming to the same conclusion myself... You would think
after all the versions of Windows, this would have been taken care of.

Well, the operating system cannot really control the behavior of the
applications. Even when starting a program via shortcut, the "maximized"
command will be ignored by many programs. A good example is the Windows
Calculator which will never ever run maximized by design:
Start > Run: calc.exe

Therefore, it's best praxis when *programs* save their last window size
and allow for the setting to use that size on startup. These programs
start maximized even when launched by doubleclick on associated files.
