Fill-in fields

When using Word 97, i would set up a standard document using fillin fields to
prompt for certain questions ie. date, client name etc. When the documents is
re-opened you woul be prompted automatically to answer the varoius questions
ie. date, client name etc.
In Word 2003, when the standard document is re-opened the prompts do not
appear. You would have to select the entire text, right click and update
fields for the prompts to appear.
Is there a way around this?
Thank you

Save your document as a template, create a new document based on the
template. The Fill-In fields should fire. See the tutorial at
