Files on CD

Hi

I have a cd which I want to read on a notebook with
Windows XP SP1. I'm only able too see the root folders and
not the files inside them. I have tested the hardware from
this laptop and transferred it to mine.It works perfectly.
So the only conclusion is that some patch or other is
needed. The main difference is mine was a fresh
installation and the problem laptop is a preload from the
manufacturer.

Check the cd on a third machine. If the cd was burned and is not a factory
cd, the notebook's cd drive may be weak. Making a new cd may work.
