files & folders

Hi recently i had a reformat done on my Pc running WINXP Pro. I told the
repair person to save all my quicken files and my microsoft outlook files
and address book which he did .. he reinstalled everything after the
reformat but he did not have the quicken install disk .The quicken files
were(in a folder) on my desktop but when i reinstalled the program the files
would not go into the folders they were in before .. does anyone know how to
fix this since i know diddly.... about files?

What happens when you drag and drop the files into the folder? Do you get an error?
