file upload in forms

Chuck Bryant

Greetings, I've got a form with several text fields that I've been
using for months and the results arrives in my email with all the info
intact, all I really want to do is add the file upload field and have
the resulting file come with the form into my email and I can't see a
way to do it. I've got FP2002 with the SP2 update. My webserver is
running the FP2002 server extensions and I have access to both site
tools and the server extensions administration tools. I've tried
adding the file upload field, but there seems to be no way to have the
file go to the email recipient along with the text results. Is this
correct or am I missing something? Also, I've created a folder for
the uploaded file to go to, but I cannot get to the checkbox to allow
anonymous uploads, it's ghosted and I've tried looking at it directly
on the server, not just on my local drive. Is there anyway to get
this control to unghost so I can have files uploaded?

Thanks for any help.

P.S. I also asked about this same question in the
microsoft.public.frontpage group before I found this group which seems
to be much more active. Sorry if I unknowingly broke any crossposting
rules.

Using the FP File Upload component, the file can only be uploaded to a
folder within your web site, if your host allows this, it will not be
attached to an email.

To do what you want requires some custom ASP script, a ASP image component
as well as a ASP mail component if hosted on Windows, If hosted on
Unix/Linux, I don't have clue what you would need, with the exception of
using PHP, CFM, Perl, etc.
