file system NTFC, volume is dirty

I had to shut down my computer by button on machine, when restarting i got
following message ' file system NTFC, volume is dirty ' what does it mean?

That would be "NTFS" - the file system used by XP. There may be a problem it.
Run a Check Disk...

Open Windows Explorer (the file manager). Right-click on the C: drive and
click PROPERTIES.
Click the TOOLS TAB, then in the "error checking" box, click CHECK NOW.

You may see a message that XP has scheduled a disk check at next boot up.
Restart the PC for that check to be made.
