File Size - any hints ?

I have an 8mb video from camera (AVI) - I want to clip the last 10
seconds, so I import it into Moviemaker, chop the 10 seconds and then "
Save to my Computer"as AVI file. WMM shows that the output file will be
86mb !!!
1. It's an AVI file now
2. I'm DELETING some of it
3. Why does it grow 10 TIMES in size ?

AVI files are compressed by different codecs, and with different
settings.... the AVI files saved by Movie Maker are the least compressed so
they are larger.

Your camera uses a different compression codec.

As a rule of thumb, the larger the file size the higher the quality.... so
large files are good.

you need to choose one of the wmv settings to get a small file.
