file signature verification tool

I ran the file signature verification tool and it reported about 12 files
that were not digitally signed.
One of them was diwan.sys, and the rest were file names starting with
"hp" -i assume are all printer related.
What should be done with these files?

Nothing. A lot of drivers that you may download from a maker's site (in
this case Hewlett Packard ones for hp. . . .) are not formally signed.
All that means is that they have not been through MSoft's formal
procedures - from a reputable maker like HP there is no reason to
mistrust them

Diwan.sys is a 'miniport' driver for an ethernet card, that may have
come with the card, or may be one by Eicon that came in my case along
with XP
