file sharing problem in home workgroup

I have 3 computers in a home workgroup, all running XP Pro SP2. From my
PC I can see all the files and folders on one of the other PCs but only
some of them on the other one. AFAICT I have both of the other PCs set
up the same: simple file and print sharing on, verified NetBIOS is on
etc. I haven't found anything in the KB that helps. Any suggestions?
