Hi there.
I have 3 laptops and 2 desktops all in the same workgroup with static IP
addresses. 1 of the desktops and the 3 laptops have no problems sharing files
between each other but the 2nd desktop won't "speak" to any of the others. I
can ping the other IP addresses from the problem machine (running XP Pro) and
access the internet but when I go into "My Network Places" or try to map a
network drive it can't find any other PC's on the network !!
From the "working" desktop I can see the problem PC but can't connect to it
- any idea's anyone please ?????
Windows firewall is disabled on all desktops with Norton 360 running with a
rule added to let a certain range of IP addresses "speak" freely !!!
Thanks,
Jim.
