File Sharing help needed

Hello,
I have two pcs, my home desktop running XP home and my work laptop
running w2k. They can both be connected to a router and all works well.
However, I am having trouble sharing files between them. The prblem is that
the work laptop is part of the domain at work, and I am not allowed to
change that. The home pc is not part of the domain. Is there a way that I
can get the two to share files? I tried to use ip addresses instead, but
that did not work.

I believe that if you change your workgroup name on your home computer to
match the domain name of your work machine, everything will be fine. You
also need to have a user on your home machine with the same
username/password as your work machine. HTH.
