file sharing between win98 and 2000

when i try to open shared drive on 2000 pc from 98 pc i
can see the pc in neighborhood but when i try to open it
it asks for a password which i don't recall setting
anywhere

Create an identical account (same username and password) on both computers.
Log into the win98 computer using that username and password then access
win2000 from win98.
