In any application running on WinXP home, when I select File | Open,
the dialog box defaults to List.
Can I set the views to be something else by default, say Details, or
Thumbnails?
It's irritating when opening photos with Photoshop, to have to change
the views to thumbnails EVERY time.
Thanks.

Unfortunately, no you can't change the default for this. It's called the
common dialogs box, and the default list view is not configurable.

Thanks Rock.

I was afraid of that.
