File Names Lost in My Pictures

Hello,
For the past one week, the file names in "My Pictures" are not showing in
the Thumbnail format. It just disappeared. Whereas, other folders in the same
"My Pictures" have the names and they are intact.

Someone said, it is due to Virus. I have Norton to scan for Virus. It does
not indicate any. I even tried "System Restore".

Please help me in this regard.

Try this recent response to the same question:

"Click on Views icon, then click List. Then click Thumbnails whilst
holding Shift and the captions/names will reappear."

Thanks Alan. I got it. But, what is it behind? Is it a bug in Windows? Why it
is happening...? Can you please tell me...?

I'm not Alan but... It's actually a feature. Some folks like to see an
uncluttered "album" type presentation of their image files. Since the
feature is not well documented, it's not unusual to see posts here from
folks that have "lost" the file names. Personally, I've never used the
feature. "Different strokes" and all that stuff. ;)

As Sharan says, it is a feature.
It probably happened because you held down the shift key while turning
on thumbnail view.
