Hi there.....

In trying to restore my help & support icon in my start menu i copied file
i386 to cd. I rand sfc /scannow again which asked for xp home edition disc. I
enterered i386 and it said wrong cd. is there anyway i can repair/restore
damaged xp help & support files with xp home edition disc (because i have
lost it unfortunatley).....

Please Please help me......Caz xx

Hi mac - i went to the site and when i tried to download the winfixxphelp.vbs
it just showed me a lot of text. ?? I dont know whats happening.....funnily
enough though before i had a message from windows security and when i clicked
on a link that shows me more info....packard bell help and support centre
appeared, which is what i have been trying to restore. Although STILL when i
click on ? icon in my start menu it still comes up with error message "The
file 'helpctr.exe' could not be found. Make sure you retype correctly or try
search options' ??? whats happenin i`m getting fed up with this now.....i`ve
been trying to sort this for about 15 hours now

No mac - i havn't used easy cleaner......i went to the website you said and
have changed the source path as it recommended but its still asking for the
home ed cd ???

Sorry to say, that in that case, I am unable to help further.
Maybe one of the XP guru's can help you.
How can you lose your OS disc ? )
