File Encryption in Windows XP

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to encrypt a file in Windows XP?
I can do "Properties>Advanced>Encrypt contents to secure
Data" but the "Encrypt contents to secure Data" is in
feint font and the box cannot be ticked.
My hard drive is formatted in two partitions both with
NTFS.
The computer is accessed by two users both with password
access. Guest user is diabled.
Does any one have any suggestions?
