File cannot be opened

I am using an Acer Aspire 3680 with Windows Vista home basic. I am trying to
open an Excel spreadsheet that I created on this computer and am suddenly
getting the message "The file cannot be opened because your virus scanner has
detected a problem with the file." This is a very important file that I
recently updated but have not had the opportunity to back up as yet (I do
have an earlier version of the file on a disc, but am hoping to be able to
free this one up). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
