File cannot be found error when opening files

When I click on a link in internet explorer to download a
file I get the error message :
The data file could not be processed because of this
error: C:\doucme~1\adams\locals~1\tempor~1\content.ie5
\..... was not found.

Could be a damaged index file. Remove it an other one will be created.

Delete/Empty Temporary Internet Cache completely
