File Associations

I am trying to associate a Canon Raw Image File Format
(.crw) with Adobe Photoshop CS. When I double click on
a .crw file, I want Photoshop CS to launch and open the
image.

I have tried to do this by right clicking on the .crw file
and choosing properties. Next to "Opens with" I click on
change. This opens a dialog box where there are a list
of "Recommended Programs" and "Other Programs" from which
one can choose a program to associate the file type with.

Photoshop is not listed. I then click on Browse and
navigate to the Photoshop CS.exe program. I then choose
this.

Normally, the Photoshop CS program would then be listed in
the Recommended Programs list and would then be the
program that the file type (in my case, a .crw file type)
would be opened with.

No matter what I do, I can not get Photoshop CS to be
listed in the "Open With" dialogue box. I have
uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop CS and called Adobe
who said it was a problem with my XP and not Photoshop.

Any ideas?

....and you clicked the "always use..." box at the bottom of the dialog?
