Hi there folks
I run a WIn2k TS server SP4

I am trying to assicate a TIF file with a different program yet the area
under my computer>tools>folder options (file types tab) is all greyed out

Is there a registry tweak I can get into? I have eliminated group policy
from being the possible culprit

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Ian

What usually works for me is to go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and delete the .tif
and .tiff keys. Right click on the actual .tif file and select 'open with',
select program to create the association you want.

Is a reboot necessary for this to work?

Could you be more specific on those keys? I see tiffilter and tifimage
