Can anyone tell me how to dissassociate a file from a particular programme.
I transfereed all my oe e-mail folders over to my new pc, and have
inadvertantly associated them with oe. They now all appear in the folder
with oe symbols on them where they used to have no association. Still with
me? Great

TIA
Dave

Folder options in the control panel has all the file associations. For
email, check internet options.

If you're referring to the .DBX files where OE stores your messages and
folders list, by default, there is no association for DBX files.

In Windows Explorer go to Tools, Folder Options, File Types. Locate the
entry for DBX files, highlight it and click Delete. Alternatively, click
Start, Run and enter REGEDIT Go to:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.dbx (note the . before the dbx)

Right click the .dbx subkey and select delete.
