File Association prolem

Hello again,
I'm trying to set the associations with .gif, .jpg files in FP03. I try
tools>options>and I can get to the menu to add a new program to associate to.
In this case I'm trying to let those pictures open up with Corel PhotoPaint.
I'm not having any problem locating the exe file but when I click it in FP
refuses to add PhotoPaint to the list. I've tried it several times and tried
it individually with a .gif and a .jpg file. Any workaround?

After you create the association are you making it the default

Hi and thanks for the reply:
After I read your post I went in and tried it again. This time it worked.
As soon as I clicked on the final .exe program it put it in the chart and
then I was able to choose "set as default". I think the conflict might have
been the fact that I have two Corel Photopaint programs. I just upgraded from
"9" to "13" . This time when I went to the program files they both showed
up. I chose the PhotoPnt13 and it installed it. I was able to set .gif and
..jpg both.
Problem solved....thanks again.
