Few second System Hang

I am running an XP Pro system. My system does this few
second hang every so often. Sometimes it happens at the
login screen, sometimes while opening web pages,
sometimes during application uses. When the system hangs
everything pauses for like two or more seconds, even the
mouse curser stops movement. I find nothing in the error
logs to suggest an application or driver is at fault. I'm
not sure what do to do to track down this strange issue.
It seems it might be video related, but i'm just
guessing. Does anyone have any ideas where I should look
or do?
