Going by the KC:

"Warning Writing the master boot record to the hard disk in this manner
can make certain hard disks partitioned with SpeedStor unusable. It can
also cause problems for some dual-boot programs and disks with more than
four partitions."

<http://support.microsoft.com/kb/69013/en-us>

does this mean that the command will fail for an OEM install?

thanks,

Don't use FDisk - use fixmbr
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/.../proddocs/en-us/bootcons_fixmbr.mspx?mfr=true

Why are you needing to rewrite the MBR?
