faxing

can anyone tell me if there is a programme that allows me
to fax documents direct from computer. I had Winfax on my
old PC running windows 98.

It's very likely that whatever software comes with your modem has a fax
application. Also, WinXP has a fax appliction, though it might not be
installed. Check Window Help, search on "fax".

Windows XP has a built in Fax Service. Open the "Printers and Faxes" folder
and select "Set Up Faxing". Make sure you have either an internal or
external modem.
