faxing w/o dial-up

Is it possible to send a fax to a recipient's fax machine
(land line) thru a network based system. I am using
Windows 2000 without access to an outside line and I want
to send faxes from my desktop without having to go to main
office and wait to use. limited resources and not
important enough for management to spend the money for
another line to be installed and run to my office. Any
ideas?

Faxing uses phone lines. Nothing else.
If you have no analog modem or phone line, you will need to use a fee based
Internet Fax Service. Several are listed here: http://www.savetz.com/fax/
