Faxing to a Email address

I am wondring if this is a old feature removed from the days of the Windows
Inbox (Exchange) when I used to have Windows Faxing installed. I remember
setting up computers to send a print job to the Windows Fax, and when the
wizzard asked for the name and phone number fields, I could put in a email
address for the phone number and my print job would be converted to a .tiff
file and emailed to that address.

I now have XP Home (with faxing setup) and Outlook 2003. I have worked
around this by starting the faxing steps, going into my I:\Documents and
Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows NT\MSFax\Queue and
emailing the tiff file with a right click. It isn't a bad work around but a
little hard to make customers do it several times a day.

I see that there are now fax services listed with Outlook that I guess I
need to pay for. Is this why it is no longer encluded?

Nothing has changed here (yet). No version of Outlook / Fax has ever
accepted an email address and automatically converted a fax to an email. The
integration of Outlook and Fax remains the same until Outlook 2007, where it
has been abandoned.
