I have configured the fax in windows XP but it answers
both my fax line and regular telephone line. How do I
differentiate the two lines? The fax line is on ident a
call(two short rings).

Distinctive Ring is not supported by Windows XP. Therefore, Windows XP Fax
will answer every incoming call it receives. The alternative is to install
an external switching device to your phone line.

Use fax software that supports distinctive ring, even on Windows X
systems. Have a look at the Fax Machine application o
