Fax Monitor

I am using Windows XP and trying to use Microssoft Fax. I
can send and receive faxes but I can't get the fax
monitor to open automatically. I must go to Start,
Programs, Accessories, communications, fax and fax consloe
to open it. Going to start, settings, control panel,
printers & faxes and then selecting the fax I open it's
properties and go to tracking where the open automatically
send and receive points are checked. But nothing seems to
work. Also, the fax monitor does not show up on my task
bar. Any ideas??
