Fax Failure

I

I. T. Gaskill

I use the Windows 2000 provided fax software on my AMD. I
also use the fax on my Windows XP software running on a
HP752. For most of the fax destinations I have tried, my
fax attempts have completed succssfully.

However, I have encountered two fax locations where my fax
signal has not been recognized. The message I get is
either no answer or busy. I have retried this at several
different times of the day and night with the same result.
I eventually sent the fax from a local Kinkos without any
difficulty.

I have checked the Microsoft database for evidence of this
problem, but I couldn't find anything that helped. Can
anyone suggest what I need to do to solve this problem?

Can you make sure following things
Make sure that number is not black listed.
If there were lots of retries to that number, that number might
have entered into Modem's black list, One way to reset is to reinstall
modem drivers.

Are you using calling card or dialing rule
Check if you are using any calling card or any dialing rule in
particular to that location.

Are you able to make normal phone calls to that location. There might
be problem with your Telephone Service provider.
