W2k Fax server stops sendig faxes

Hi,

Very often fax server stops sending faxes on the first attempt after a
transmission error. This is recorded on the event log with error 8226.
The'current' fax is not retryed and next faxes are not sent. No other errors
are recorded. The only thing we can do is stop the service and restart
again.

Major problems:

1.- It happens during night (discount is set to on) and when restarting the
fax next morning they are set to be sent next night!.
2.- When restarting, the jobid for each pending fax is lost/changed and the
application that generated the fax and saved the jobid looses track of it
and thoughs the fax has been sent!

The system is w2k + SP4

Hi Alfons,

Try this: Uncheck the "Print Banner" on the Fax Server Properties / Dialing Tab.
