Fax Console

Fax console will no longer follow dialing rules that are
set and applied nor will it activate and pop up the fax
monitor when sending a fax. Otherwise, it works fine.
But the dialing rules are preventing me from faxing when
traveling. Suggestions would be great.

Like all of its predecessors, the Windows XP Fax service will not process
dialing rules unless the phone number to which you are sending the fax is in
"international format." Details on how to use international format to invoke
dialing rules are available here:

I am having the same problem too and I saw a few other
postings that were having the same problem. It must be
something to do with the last windows update, it worked
for me when I had service pack 1 with no problems and now
my replacement computer came with service pack 1a and it
doesn't work. my other computer that I had worked fine
and it was 7 weeks old and died about 5 weeks ago, since
then my replacement computer fax console and fax monitor
has not worked at all.
