Fax Console Question

Hello, I'm assuming that Fax Console is part of XP. Suddenly it won't let me
delete any of my faxes when I go to the "sent Items" folder. First it asks
me if I'm sure if I want to delete the item that I highlighted, and when I
click "yes" I get a message saying that "this operation cannot be completed"
.. I've never seen this before. I'm trying to delete some faxes from 2001 but
it wouldn't let me delete yesterdays either. Can someone help of direct me to
somewhere ???

Not sure, but it could be that you need to clear temp files
and recycle bin. This is just a guess.

Hi Jim, If I click on delete message bodies in the tools/options section does
it mean that the message bodies will be gone forever?

I don't know if that is true with the FAX, but it is with
Outlook Express, unless you have some pretty high skills at
data recovery. It is possible (likely) that the FAX is like
Outlook Express, if the folder is corrupted the files may
become "locked" and you might need to take some other repair
options.

Have you tried clearing the temp files and recycle bin?
[Disk Clean-up]?

I emptied the Recycle Bin. I haven't cleared temp files yet. I will today.
However, in the meantime I noticed that it will, in fact, let me delete files
within the last several months (I was incorrect in my first post). So the
question is now, is there a "set-able" time frame that can be tweaked within
outlook express (because I'm assuming the fax program lives under the rules
of OE) and if so where can I tweak it?
