favorites

i got this computer receently and its brand new so i
started my favorites list online so my grandmother could
find sites easy. so when i was loaded sites up some
showed up on the list with icons representing the site.
then last night all of a sudden they were gone and i
deleted all sights and reloaded them back up. they were
there again. then i shut down my computer and today i
loaded it back up and now they are gone again. my
grandmother relys on the icons to help her see the site
name. now the icon is just a e for internet explorer.
please help me with this
