Favorites

I tried to import my favorites from one PC to another. I got multiple
Favorites folders. Then I delete everything in the Favorites folder and
tried importing again. Now when I add to favorites, I see something totally
different in the drop down box than what is left on my screen. The two are
no the same. What do I need to do to make them the same? Does the
export/import not work correctly?

In regedit, the 'Favorites' Value at:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell
Folders
is the path to your favorites.

OK... Sorry, I'm not technical. I ahve no idea what I'm supposed to do.
Can you explain in non-technical terms? Thanks!

Go to Start>Run...>
Type `regedit` in the text-box and click `O.K.`.Confirm or enter the
administrator password if asked. In the new window which you get,the left
pane resembles a tree-like hierarchy of nodes and elements. From the
menu, first make a back-up of the registry. Now,using the plus and minus
symbols located to the left of the entries displayed in the left pane to
expand and collapse the branches respectively, navigate to the path Mark
mentioned and note the value of the `Folders` variable displayed in the
right pane.Do NOT change any value in the registry no matter how tempting
the experimentation may be for you. After noting the value, close the registry
editor window.
