Favorites gone Screwy

Favorites are not working well here.

I can't add to them ..I can't import my old list (bookmark.htm).

But I can export the IE7 default favorites and import them right back, but
that is all.

I other words, when i visit a website I can't add it to the Favorites -
"unspecified" error. When I try to import my old list there's a 'conversion'
error. But the short default list canbe exported to a file and immediately
imported.

I had this, as well as IE7 refusing to save pages. I turned off UAC and
it's fine. I suspect by mid February all Vista users will have turned off
UAC.

Actually I think I found a bug which I will have to test before reporting. I
think it's a repeatable thing having to do with location of the Favorites
folder, not related to UAC.

Agreed .. UAC is a pain, especially when one is at first busy installing
loads software. But later on when installing and configuring is not a
priority, it probably would be better to have it on so as to catch any
malware activity.
