Favorites

A customer of mine has Windows XP and we are having
problems with her favorites folder. Typically you should
be able to copy a website links into her favorites folder
under the user's profile and it will appear in Internet
Explorer. In this case IE is pulling her favorites from
a differant location but we can't find out where. We
tried adding a link to her favorites using IE but I have
no clue where it's pulling this info from because it's
not using the favorite's folder under the user's
profile. Can anyone help me.

Try this:
Open IE | go to any site | Favorites | Add to Favorites |Name it:
Something | OK

Open Search | Search for: Something |
Where does it show up??

You need TweakUI for Windows XP to tell you. Install it from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp (you need
Windows XP Service Pack 1 installed first) then open it from the Start Menu.
Expand the My Computer entry and click on Special Folders. In the drop-down
box on the right hand side, select Favorites and you will see the location.
