Favorites Reorganized

I take time to set up my favorite individual links and
folders so that the most used are at the top of the
favorites window on the left of the IE browser.

I've noticed that once in a while, my list of
favorites has been replaced by an alphabetized list --
with all my work gone.

Has anyone seen this?

Can I preserve this grouping so that if this reoccurs I
can, at least, replace with a saved version?

Any ideas on a fix?

Although this likely isn't what you have in mind, I keep some
Favorites at the top of their respective categories by renaming them
to start with numbers. That is 1Umbrella.com goes before Aardvark.com,
Umbrella.com unchanged is down at the bottom of the list.

Maureen - Thanks for the idea. I'm not sure why the OS all
of a sudden gets it in its mind to reorg the favorites..
but your idea will make this moot.
