FAVORITES FOLDER

I want all my favorites to appear in alpahabetical order instead of in
the order as I enter them when I open my favorites folder. I asked this
question once before and was told to click a certain key, which I did
and it did what I wanted. Unfortunately I forgot what key to click.
Does anyone remember?

If you want them to automatically alpha-sort even as new entries are added,
you need a registry edit. Navigate to:

HKEY CURRENT USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Menu
Order\Favorites

and delete the value named 'Order'. Also delete this value for any
subfolders. Then, with the favorite key highlited, click on Edit >
Permissions and deny 'Full Access' to Administrators, yourself, etc. This
will prevent the key from being automatically recreated.

Or you can open favorites from the menu (not the toolbar button), right
click any favorite and select Sort by Name. This will have to be repeated
for each folder in Favorites.
