Favorites folder is reversed

When I use File>Import & Export and choose Export Favorites, my
Favorites folder comes up in reverse alphabetical order. In my case,
it looks like this:
Favorites
York
XP Forums
XP
Words+Grammar etc
Wine
etc.

Nor is there any way to switch that.

Is this a long-standing bug?
 
It doesn't happen for me. What version of Windows and IE are you using?

Terry, Start IE and on the main toolbar(top one) click on Favorites.
Rightclick anywhere in the dropdown list and in the new dropdown list,
click
on 'Sort by name'.
