Favorites Disappeared

Hi, my favorites links have vanished, the sub-directories
are still there but empty. Also the Favorites icon is no
longer a 3-d star but a normal folder.
Has this happened to anyone else and why?
I don't want to rebuild and have it disappear again.

Dean, navigate to C:\Document and Settings\Your Name\Favorites Folder.
See if anything shows up there.

Hi, the sub-folders are still there but are empty.

Hi, I havn't changed or added a logon and don't use the internet scan of McAfee.
