after useing the windows update (not the sp2) i restarted
to find the
following message, "STOP: c000021a {fatal System Error}
The windows logon process terminated unexpectedly with a
status of 0x00000080 (0x000000000 0x00000000).
The system has been shut down.
This is on win XP home running on a sony VIAO which means
there is no windows disk to try to repair from, only the
sont disks which want to re-partition the drive and
restore the system... any ideas or suggestions...????
Also i can not get into windows at all the system returns
the message before the log in screen, i can F8 into the
troubleshooting menu but none of the options will get me
into windows.

Not very helpful. I see the links to Jim Eshelman's web page a lot,
but it offers only a description of the error message. Is there a
remedy for this problem?
