A friend at work tried to install (upgrade) his Windows XP Pro to
Windows XP Pro with SP2 embedded...not sure why he didn't just download
it. Soon after the first re-boot a fatal error occrued...giving the
option to view the log and reboot.

It re-boots into the same Fatal Error everytime. So he gave me the PC
to fix. Safe Mode will pops up with a dialog box that setup cannot run
in Safe-Mode and has to restart. I have tried everything I know of
without any positive results.

I am looking for a way to remove the setup files so that I can login.
Maybe not even remove the setup files but bypass then altogeather.

The error occured very early into the install, the OS should still be
intact right? Any help would be greatly apprechiated. - Ryan -

Since you recently wiped the drive and reinstalled, i would just start
over with xp sp i and download spii. i have a copy with spii embedded
and it works great every time, maybe his is corrupted. or just try and
reinstall his version again.
