FAT32 Drive After Windows XP Recovery

I recently had to run my recovery program that re-installed Windows XP Home
Edition on my PC. After the recovery I noticed that the C drive was now
FAT32. I ran a chkdsk after the install had there were some bad sectors.
Someone told me that Windows XP should use NTSF drives, and I may have
problems at some point. Everything seems to be working ok.

Is it true that Windows XP need the drive to be formatted as NTSF, or I will
have problems?

Should I try to us chkdsk with the fix option to correct the bad sectors, or
will that cause other problems?

Thanks, John

It is OK to use FAT32 format, nothing will be wrong.
You can wait for next fresh installation to use NTFS if you want.
