Fast User Switching

With Fast user Switching enabled, Terminal Services running, my PC reboots
when the "Switch User" option has been selected, and a new user is chosen
from the "Welcome Screen".

Hi Brent,

Did this behavior currently happen? If so after.......?

Suggestions in the meantime:

For Pro: Go to Start/Run: services.msc
Scroll down to Fast User Switching: Set to Manual and Started.

Use Ctrl/Alt/Delete - User/Disconnect

Restore Fast User Switching (Line 34)

Super Fast Switcher (Line 34)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

To access the Powertoy, use the Windows key and then the Q key. Your user
names that are currently logged on will pop up one at time. When your user
name appears, release the Q key and enter your password to access your
regular XP setup.

Add Switch User to the Start Button and Right Click (Line 44)

Startup type is set to MANUAL in Fast user switching compatiblity properties
Dialog box, but SERVICE STATUS is STOPPED
When you click start, I got this warning box:

COULD NOT START FAST USER SWITCH COMPATABILITY SERVICE IN LOCAL COMPUTER.
ERROR 1068: THE DEPENDENCY SERVICE OR GROUP FAILED TO START.

I THINK MY PROBLEM IS GETTING my TERMINAL SERVICES TO RUN!

I've added the fusreg file to the registry.
When I attemp to install Fast user switch of Tweak toys, I get even if I
belong to the administrator group, I GOT THE ERROR BOX:

ERROR 1920: SERVICE INTERACTIVE LOGON FAILED TO START. VERIFY THAT YOU HAVE
SUFFICIENT PRIVILEGES TO START SYSTEM SERVICES.

Hi,

Run services.msc, scroll down to Terminal Services and double click it. On
the recovery tab, set the first action to "restart the service", then apply
it and retry. Both it and FUS are set to manual by default, but there may be
a delay of some sort starting TS, so sometimes this helps.

:

Set startup type to automatic and click start, also click the
dependancies tab and ensure any services listed under this tab are set
to automatic and are started.
