Fan operation after XP upgrade

Help! Ever since upgrading to XP from ME my laptop fan
NEVER comes on. Fan operates during diagnostics and when
I delete XP. I don't want to delete XP so what can I do?

Did your OS control your fans BEFORE the upgrade? Most of the time that is
hardware sensor controlled.. Nothing to do with the OS.

Go to your makers site and look for a upgrade or a forum where you can get some info on the problem. you may have to up-grade the BIOS

Actually, your laptop mftr. probably had a utility preinstalled. You
need to go to their site and find the XP version of your laptop
utilities, download and install them.
