False error reports

I have windows xp home edition and I keep my computer
keeps rebooting and giving an error of "Mcafee Firewall
Version 3.0 (fw220.sys)". I do not have Mcafee Firewall
Version 3.0, I have Mcafee Firewall Version 4.02.6000.0.
Why am I getting these error reports? And why does My
computer keep rebooting?

Hey Robert,

You will probably need to contact McAfee regarding this.
Personally, I might try this first:

At http://download.mcafee.com/updates/upgrade_patches.asp
under McAfee firewall patches they have a patch that
updates fw220.sys for what sounds like a similar problem,
but for 3.0x. It's possible that the application version
is higher than the fw220.sys (driver) version. You may be
able to use this patch, but I would back up the original
first and put it back if it doesn't work. You can check
the current version of the driver on your computer by
searching for it and looking at it's properties.
